I have a Razr V3 Black and need some help installing skins.I tried to install the Matrix_v2[1]0 skin using the install instructions that came with the skin. But they do not show in the skins list on my phone.
I created folder skins = a/mobile/skins
then created folder Matrix = a/mobile/skins/Matrix
I then copied over the Matrix.dat Matrix1.dat Matrix2.dat and Matrix.ski into the folder a/mobile/skins/Matrix
Last i copied the image files into my pictures folder but the skin is a no show.
Tool used was P2k Commander

The a/mobile/skins MUST have already existed. If you are using version 3.2.9 go to the options menu and set to unlimited files.

The folder name is case sensitive and must be exactly the same as the ski and dat files.

Restart the phone after copying them over.

Remember to look in the skins menu and not themes

SW VERSION R4515_G_08.BD.43
FLEX VERSION SE6798AXXB708B

I have managed to install two other skins:
YDragon
MotoX

I used the self install files that came with these skins using P2Kcommander. Both of these skins show in my skins list but there is not a skins folder in a/moblie/

You have a v3r, not a v3. Not much is known about this model. Try looking in anyother folders it may have - e.g. the c folder

Got a question. how do you create a new sub folder in p2k under the skins folder?

Thank you Mikekay10,
after you told me that i have a V3r, i realised that the reason i could not locate folder a/mobile/skins and a/mobile/pictures using P2Kcommander (even though i had previously installed 2 skins ) was that my phone has a different set up for the drive structure. The skins and pictures are held on another drive on the phone named c/mobile/skins and c/mobile/pictures.I finally found the 2 previous skins that i installed (MotoX & YDragon) and have now installed another skin with no problems.
Thanks again icon_biggrin.gif

I have installed new skins on my V3. However when you go to dial a number the number gets all muddled. Hard to explain but basically when you dial "6" then "2" the 6 would normally move over to the left and so on as you dial more numbers. However with the new skins the numbers move over but they also stay in the original position so everything gets written over itself. When I change back to the original Moto Skin the number displays fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Joe
