Just restart your phone and if it prompts any messages say "no". Then the bar will slowly raise and you have network again. Mine is a Moto Razer V3. And that has worked for me. Please try it

Every time our razors took a leap in the toilets (and don't say yours never did) this is the after affect of them. It will say:
Invalid battery
Insert Sim Card
And if you try to charge it even though there is a good battery in it and you know it, it will say:
Unable to charge. In the past year my son, his friend and myself have went through 7 razors. Once they say ivalid battery and insert sim card, might well plan on getting a new one.

I came across this problem when I tried using my old v3 after it had been sitting around for a few months. First I got an "unable to charge" error, which when I removed and re-seated the battery it charged. Then, the phone would randomly go from 2 battery bars (still charging) to the red "almost dead" state, and then back to 3 bars. Finally, when I turned off the phone and turned it back on again, I received the "invalid battery" error.
I took my SIM card out and cleaned the contacts (on the card and the phone) with an eraser, and did the same with the battery's contacts. It seemed to solve the problem. It's probably minor corrosion on the battery from sitting (which also explains why this happens after being dropped in water and drying).
Try cleaning the contacts on your SIM card and battery with an eraser head. It should do the trick.

I left my phone charger at the beach and without a charger my battery finally went dead. Me being the impatient one to go get another one, I took the battery out and charged it manually with another kind of charger with the same voltage. After doing so, when I put it back into my phone, it said invalid battery. I must have hooked a - or + to the wrong place. Anyways sense my phone thinks the battery is invalid it want accept any charger connected to the phone so I just have to take the battery out and charge it manually from now on. The problem must be that the battery has some flaw with it however big or small and even though it's still a working battery the phone want accept it so buying a new battery is probably your best option. Well twat-waffle, good luck with your telecommunications. Peace!
