Hi, please bear with me, it's my first post but i have been reading the hell out of this forum and others, trying to get my new phone to work correctly.
i purchased a new 6230i from a website and since Cingular doesn't have configuration settings for the phone, i had them sent from the Nokia website.
That worked well except for one thing. Although i am able to send and receive pictures via MMS, and text messaging and internet are fine, i can't send OR receive video or animated gif type stuff. that's the only thing not working. i get the "one or more components deleted... yada yada" message.
Of course, Cingular customer service can't help me, and i don't understand how the phone can be configured for MMS to send and receive pix but not vids. The reason i bought the damn thing was for the better camera!
Thanks very much in advance for any light anyone can shed on this frustrating problem.

how can it not be compatible to send and receive the same files my 6230 did without a problem? is the programming of the 6230i that radically different from the 6230?
