Trying to figure out how to install .sis files (which are applications) on the nokia 6610 cell phone.

I have a usb cable and using Nokia PC Suite 5

Also it seems I can only update the phone with .jad file. But what if I find java apps and games that are zipped and have .class.. Is there anyway I can get them onto the phone?

Thanks

Dom

U cant install .sis files on 6610

If u have a .zip file that has files with extensions lik .class in it, rename the zip file to .jar

.sis files are only for phones with Symbian OS.

ahhh. thanks

The only problem I see with renaming the zips is that the nokia application loader is asking for a file .jad first.. and .jar second.. so having just .jar file doesn't help me much. becuase I can't get it on the phone.

To bad about those sis files icon_sad.gif Is there anyone here that has a collection of good java applications then for the 6610? or games.

There's a way to avoid paying for games on a certain website.
For more info, check my group
www.groups.yahoo.com/group/johnnyspliff
Click files, then "free games.txt"

If you have a jar file and need a jad, use JADMaker - simple to use - it just creates a jad file. (Do a google search for it)
