Is it possible to incorporate a radio into the 3650???(by using sum s/w)
I dont think any hardware additions will be possible as it not possible to add external antenna into the 3650.
Does the 6610 have a different antenna for its radio or does it make use of the same antenna for calls and for radio??

No, it's not possible. You only could listen to an internet radio stream with the 3650 (which costs money because of the GPRS-Stream).
And if you have read your manual of your 6610, you would know, that the headset of the 6610 is the radio antenna.

yes
he said is true
but since I have unlimited GPRS
that I don't have to worry
but the forthcoming n-gage and 7600 have both (FM and internet) radios
but 7600 is not compatible for States

Well from wat i know, the radio antenna of the 8310/6510 is in the handset itself. (This is because i have used the handsfree kit of the 3650 to listen to radio on the 8310)
So thinkin on these lines, wat i thought was that if the 8310 has just a single antenna (for both calls and radio)(Can sum1 please confirm this) then its firmware must have sum code which allows the antenna to be used as a radio and if this code could be incorporated into the 3650 as a separate program then radio could be possible on 3650.

You should sometimes read your phone manual. If you would have done so, you would have known, that on the 8310 the headset is the antenna too. I've downloaded the manual, it's mentioned under the Radio-Section in it... as first written.

James is right, and the rest of you are wrong. For example (And James has stated this example), on my 6610, you can only listen to the radio on loudspeaker if you have the headset plugged in. Why? Because the cable inside the headset is the antenna! And NOT the antenne used for calls/data. They're different things.

Yes James, this is wat i've thought too. I owned a 6510 before and it has the same radio feature like that of the 8310. Even there it is said that the antenna is in the headset.
But wat baffled me was the fact that i was able to listen to the radio of my friend's 8310 using the handsfree kit of my 3650!!!
This is sumthing that is confusing me a lot.

If you use a Handfree-Kit, it works as antenna. No matter which one... the cable in it isn't only used to send the electric impuluses to the "speaker", the cable also is used as antenna.

Oke.
If the cable can act as an antenna, then why can't a s/w be designed for the 3650 which will use this principle, thus providing radio???
PS:: If u know any people who design s/w for 3650 ask them to get on it rite away.

It's not the matter of software, it's the hardware.
If it's only a software problem, I also could make a radio-software for my PC to work.
Or why do you think, you need a (TV &) Radio-Card, to listen to the Radio?
