first time here...so here goes:
i finally got the essential kit...and bsically my computer had problems being able to recognize the program or whatever...and it's running off of my current unstable Windows ME on a computer built for XP, so i dunno what's up with it.
so i went ahead and goot the card reader for my minisd and basically did what was said in all the previous stuff instead ... put the mp3's in the my mp3 folder and wala, it's working fine....so i guess i'll be using the card reader more often...while still trying to figure out the essential kit...
NOW the real ISSUE here is that my minisd is 2GB and on my phone originally i placed it in and it said something like way over 1GB and it had some usage...and then i formatted it on my phone...so now it reads under 1GB. WTF? my phone is on current verssion 07 and i've read that it sud be able to recognize 2 GB...atleast in other places on the net they've mentioned this issue/public forums i've checked out...
Yes i actually do care about this...it's a 2GB minisd and it's only recognizing 1GB on my phone...
Does anyone know what to do? anything...would be helpful

From what I've heard and read, the 2GB memory card will be compatible with the phone, but as you have said will only reconize 1GB of the memory. I've heard that verizon is doing something to make the 2GB miniSD work to its fullest, but I'm not completly sure. I don't know if this is much help, but it's all I know.

I'm using the one from the music essential kit that verison sells....tho i got it cheaper offa ebay...i guess it's the 2.5 mm...tho it's true what they say...it's hella loud on the lowest volume setting still...depending where u are in noise area...
i guess aslong as it fits into the headphone slot it sud work...
hmm..as for the 2gb on the 8300 i've heard it does take that much on the Microsd...so i wudnt' be surprised by now.... (damn it...i want my 2gb on my 8100!)
