Does the 815 only play mono, or should I blame the 2.5mm adaptor I bought today at Target? Thanx!

Bump. Can the e815 play MP3s in stereo? I don't see anything in the specs that says one way or the other.

Mine only plays in mono. I bought a mono to stereo adapter at Radio Shack and although I don't like the way it fits in the phone, I do get sound in both ears. The highest volume is not very loud but maybe my Sony MDR-EX71SL headphones require more power.

Well, fudge. To me, mono playback is totally worthless.
Thanx for the info!

Someone in another forum claims I just need a stereo adaptor (2.5mm to 3.5mm) I ordered a couple ($1.25 each, $4 shipping); hope they work!

Nope, still mono. I'm very sorry I got the e815; I don't think I'll trust Motorola in future.

One other thing...
I convert the .mp3's to mono before I load them on the phone; makes them a little louder.
...unless you have a prog that will increase the volume of .mp3's???
