Hey. So I'm having a problem with the night mode on the 6102. I turn it on, and I see the picture is better on the screen, but when I take the picture, and it saves on the phone, it's darker. I figured it might be the screen, but when I put it on the computer, it looks just as dark. It seems like when I used night mode before, it was fine, but now it doesn't work. Is that a problem all around or do I have to do something to get it to be light again? Please help. I want these pictures to turn out. I love the camera on this phone, but not in the dark right now! Please help. Thanks.

If you feel that the phone is defective and it's well w/in the warranty, you can return it and get a replacement. Other than that, you can't really expect a lot from a VGA camera. How about getting a cameraphone w/ flash?

Yea, I figured it might be defective. Like I said, it used to brighten up the picture, but not anymore. I just hate to send in my phone. I thought maybe something changed in the menu and I missed it. As for another phone, I just wanted a cheap phone, and this was available from Cingular. I don't really care TOO much about the camera. It would just be nice to have the pictures come out better in the dark. Thanks.

Cingular is now offering the Moto V557 and the SE Z520a free. You might want to check on those outside of the 6102. Some people say that the camera of the Z520 sucks, but I think its alright for .3MP. But if you want to spend a little more, the W600i is selling online for $49.99 after rebate.

it looks as though the menu only gives the option to turn night mode on or off, no in between.

Well, that's the thing.... I turn the night mode on!! The picture comes out clearer and lighter with it on, but when I take the picture, it's just dark and when I put it on the computer, it's dark. I'll see what my store says. I'll take it tomorrow. I have to settle with them some billing questions too.
