Greetings from Texas everyone. 64yo college professor here. I seem to be having the same problem as others with my Motorola v180 phone.
AT&T was absorbed by cingular. Wife's phone had a toilet drop (lol), and to replace it I had to purchase two phones, also V180's.
Here's the prob. Current phone's external lcd display has deep-sixed. I want to use my Cingular SIM in my old AT&T V180. I've done a reset all but it still asks for subsidy code. Cingular, Motorola have given me the runaround . can someone send me the code. I would appriciate it very much. Thanks in advance. I hope everyone is having a great life.

Just so you know, SBC bought ATT, and is simply converting the names to ATT, Cingular is a subsidiary of SBC, and bought out ATT Wireless.
Nothing will change, its a new coat of paint, the "new ATT" sim cards aren't going to work in the old att phones period.
