Hey Guys (Bjoern), I was wondering if it's possible to have Skype on Series 60 phones like my N91 and be able to use the WLAN to call/take calls direct to the phone from home? I had a look at the official Skype site but they dont seem to have a download for phones, just pocketpc's but the image below seems to suggest otherwise?!

Nevermind, I guess this press release answers my question:

Still, I'm sure there might be a 3rd party unofficial one somewhere, gotta be!

I love problems that solve themself
They are quite slow, but I guess it is not so easy to develope such client for Symbian OS.
And providers won't be pleased with it

Hmm, yea, good point mate.
I'm having some problems installing .sis files. It keeps saying 'Installation of XXXXX.sis not supported' for all sis files. Surely the N91 supports sis files?? Jar files work fine...

Wifi [WLAN] works fine on mine, can surf the net with it perfectly but now I've got this sis problem. It's not able to install any files, even when they work fine on my 6680! :s

Sure it supports .sis-files.
My best guess: since the N91 has Symbian OS 9.1 (which is brand new) some apps ain't compatible yet.
First there was 6, than came 7 and most apps didn't work, than came 8 and some again wouldn't work on the new OS. 7 to 8 wasn't that big jump so most apps still did work. But I had no chance to test 9.1 and when I maybe be able there are more compatible apps

Well, I know the N91 is 3rd edition symbian 60 but I didn't think it's OS 9.1. That's the E61 isn't it? Or not? I'm confused!
Either way, surely it must be backward compatible with older versions?!

The E61 has Symbian OS 9.1 too.
The N91 has two new things:
Symbian OS 9.1
Series 60 3rd Edition User Interface
There is the difference. Most people think that S60 and UIQ are the OS, but in fact it is Symbian OS itself and S60 and UIQ are only User Interfaces.
Different car, same engine
