I've never tried with purchased songs, but I've been able to go to Options, Preferences, selecting the Advanced Tab, and changing rip options from AAC to mp3. You might be able to then right click, and choose Convert to MP3, rename the file to fit your playlist and move to your microSD's MyMp3 folder. I'm not sure if you can do that with purchased songs, but they work with ones ripped from CDs and DLed from filesharing software.

To put purchased songs on the 8300, you have to burn them to CD, take the CD out of the computer and put it back in. Then you may do whatever you want with the songs.

What? You can't just convert the AAC files to MP3s?

I don't believe so. If you have purchased the music through iTunes then it comes protected. To remove that protection, you have to do what I listed.

At least that's what my experience has been.

Do write a note back in case yours is different.

One more thing: if you loaded music from CDs into iTunes then the copyright protection is already gone. It's only if you purchased the music through iTunes.

I had luck converting AAC to mp3 using Xilisoft Audio Converter. It sucks for time because it was only a demo and you could only do 5 at a time, but it worked.
