Has anyone used the V3M yet from Verizon Wireless ? ?

Thinking of switching my cell from Cingular to VZ Wireless
in a few months ... Currently on VZ web site, the V3M is
$69.99 with a 2 yr contract.

I would like to know if it is crippled in any way as to it's
functionality. Also, currently only available in Gray Color
.. I would prefer, Blue, Silver or Black

Thanks for opinions

I have had two separate Verizon reps tell me that a silver version (with software upgrade) of the V3M will be available the first week in July.

You might want to check with your local dealer to confirm.

That's good to know ... I hope they bring out
the Blue one soon ... waiting another one or
so months will be ok ... and hopefully, the
cost will also come down a bit

Thanks

As soon as they offer it in Blue ... if they don't then
I would have to settle for Black or Silver .. but they are
so common nowadays .. also there are some websites
out there, that if you sign up thru them for a 2 year plan
the phone costs nothing ... but then you have that 2 year
plan to contend with

I have used the V3M (Gray) for a week now and I really like the phone BUT Verizon has been unable to get their sofware (Music Essentials) to link with my PC. They claim it's a problem with their software which will be corrected, ETA unknown. I have spoken with others who have not had a problem... who know where the fault lies?

The only other problem I am having is reading the keypad in daylight conditions. My son came home today with the Silver V3M which has a black keypad which is much more readable under all conditions. Although I prefer the gray phone, I will be exchanging my phone for the silver model... function over form.

Agreed, you'll learn that a housing refers to hardware appearance as a skin refers to software appearance.
