Hi,
I just got a Nokia 6230 on ebay and i inserted my sim card, but i have to enter a security code before i can access the phone. I know the phone is unlocked and also i am using cingular and the phone is cingular also.
I tried the default 12345 but that didn't work.
i was wondering if anyone can help me unlock this so i can start using it.
I know it is the security code because i can dial 911 from it and that is it.
PLease help
Thanks
Sami

Have you tried 00000 (five zeroes)?

yes, i tried 5 zdero's 5 ones, 5 twos etc all the way up to 5 nine's!!!
I called Nokia and they asked me if i had the proof of purchase and i said no, but when i enter in my IMEI # on their site to check the warrenty status, they say i am still within the initial warrenty period and i can send in my phone for repair. If i send in my phone after Aug 21 2006 i will have to send in proof or purchase.
Should i send in my phone without the proof of purchase, which i don't have?
Thanks

Well, I think sending your phone to Nokia Service Center is better than not being able to use your phone, right? Bringing the phone yourself is actually better than sending it though, but that's just me.
Have you asked the person you bought your phone from?
