Are there any Cingular Customer Service reps who can tell me how the interview and training process works? I went in on thursday and passed the simulation (90%, yay!) and was called back for an interview. Does this mean that i'm basically hired? Also, how is the training? Thanks in advance!

thats a pretty good indication.. this one is another "weeding put" interview... you *should* get a "your hired call" or a PFO letter
training could vary a little bit... what city are you in?

I live in Cerritos, Ca...but the interview is for a call center in anaheim hills. I read online that the hiring process can be really long...is that true? If I get hired today, will I know right away, or will I have to wait for a letter? Thank you :]

I got as far as you did. the manager liked me a lot. But, for some reason I failed the "assesment test" that is provided by Hireright the company that does background checks for cingular. I called them up and they told me my info wasn't in their database...something fishy is going on...

I think that was a polite way of saying that even if they knew they couldnt tell you... when you took the test you would have signed a waiver allowing this

Well, I shouldn't have a problem with the background check...i'm 18...there should be nothing bad on my record. The drug test might give some problems....only because I tried smoking (weed) once...but I only took 2 puffs, and it was "secondhand" you could say...that was at the end of april. I took the drug test 3 days ago. I hope I don't fail it...I don't normally do anything like that!

Hey I just recently Did the same thing. Went to the Anaheim Hills Cingular Call Center. Did the simulation passed it went to the interview the next day (today) and was told I would get a call about training. Is that what they do? Or if they like you do they drug test you the same day?

Well...when I went to the interview, they gave me the drug test papers right away. I went through a temp agency though, so maybe it's different. In any case, they called me yesterday to tell me my orientation starts july 10th..Good luck, maybe we'll work together one day! Keep me posted!
