i dont think you can remove the cingular logo because that tells you which service is covering you. for example if your out of coverage area the logo might change to a different service. like when i go to tJ the logo changes to telcel or someother service provider in mexico. i dont know abouth the date though. it doest really bother me.

stuff like that is programed into the firmware. Some one who knows more about flashing the firmware should be able to tell you
