So I got the card, formatted it in the phone first, uploaded all my mp3's to the card, switched MP3 on, changed the play key to My MP3's. Go to Get Tunes and Tones -> My Music, and there is:

1. Get V CAST Music
2. Play All Songs

I click on play all songs and it says Player Error, Music is not available.

I go to My Mp3's and it says no Songs Found in Memory Card. They're all mp3's not write protected.

OHHH Interesting fact, you have to take the microsd card out of the reader and put it into the phone. :p

I don't yet know a lot about this particular aspect of the phone (I get my 1GB card on Friday), but have read that you must format the card FIRST by putting it in the 8300. After that, load the music on the card (put it in the MY mp3s file) in your computer and then insert it into the phone. It will then read the card.

I have been pulling my hair out with this until now. I have been loading all my music onto my card through the "music essentials" phone data cable, with the provided software. All they'll play through is the Vcast player. I don't have a card reader to just load it onto the card directly. Am I correct in thinking that you must do this to get them to play with the MP3 function?

Hi All,

1. I copied wma files using Windows Explorer onto the mindSD...(my computer has SD card reader)
2. I tried to play but it gives me "Player Error, Music is not available"

How can I move the wma files from Windows Media 10 to miniSD??? I've searched the web, but everybody's talking about mp3... I want to use wma... I'd appreciate your input...

Question: do you have to have a mem card to upload music to this thing?

Also, I'm getting this error message in Media Player: Windows Media Player encountered an enknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player.

Help?

I just got my memory card and I have a data cable hooked up and using BIT PIM to transfer data. I want to transfer mp3s to my phone but I do not have a directory on the memory card. Does the phone have to have a specific directory for the phone to play the song? If so, what is the directory that needs to be created. Thanks!

I followed all the steps that were listed for the LG VX8300 phone..

I pressed menu, clicked 0, typed in 000000, clicked 11 titled Music Settings, Clicked MP3 Enable, Clicked Ok.... It said it was enabled.

Then I went to Settings & Tools, Clicked 5 titled Phone Settings, Clicked 2 titled Shortcut Key, Clicked 5 titled Play Key, Clicked My MP3s, Clicked ok... It said shortcut key set....

I put my SanDisk 1 GB into my comp, opened the folder my_mp3, and inserted songs, I tryed two different ways I made sub categorys (a folder with the artists name, then their album, then the song) and I also tryed just putting the song into the folder.

When I put the Disk into my phone and go to Menu, Get It Now, Click 1 titled Get Tunes & Tones, Click 4 My Music, It Says 1 Get V Cast Music or 2 Play All Songs.... I click Play All Songs and it says PLAYER ERROR Music is not available.

HELP please I have been trying for hours to get this to work and I can't figure it out....

I don't have a memory card but this might work for you...go into get tunes & tones then go to #8 which is My MP3's...see if that works...when I tried it it says no songs found in memory card...should have said no memory card though icon_razz.gif good luck and let us know if it works for you. Have to order a memory card soon.
