I have the LG VX8300 and wanted to know if I had to subscribe to vcast in order to put songs onto my phone. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.

No. You don't need the V Cast service. If you have a data cable, you can load songs onto your phone using Windows Media Player. Or you can buy a Mini SD card and put songs on it using a card reader.

Yes. Go to My Computer and open the card reading device. Then open the My MP3's folder. Then simply drag and drop your MP3's into the folder.

Yes, you have to format the card first. Put it in the phone, then go to Settings & Tools-->System-->Manage Memory-->Card Memory-->Memory Usage, and the phone will automatically format the card. Then you're ready to go.
Be sure to enable the MP3 player. It's posted on the forum, but to keep you from searching, just press Menu, then hit 0 (zero) seven times. Once inside the Services menu, go to Music Setting-->MP3 Enable.
