i got the word that the v3i is not being released until august. does anyone know why it keeps getting pushed back?

i work at a cingular call center and when i get bored i look for stuff on the computer (that's how i found this site) and found a page available to use that says when each phone for cingular will begin going through testing. if the testing is complete it displays an expected date the phone will be available. however i have noticed the date change on other phones fairly frequently. like the nokia 6282 was originally scheduled out in may.

it is a little complicated but you find it off the my-cingular page. then you go to product => handset, accessories, data => handset, accessories, and data home page. that will pull up a new window and you select voice and data product updates. that opens an excel spreadsheet and if you scroll to the bottom you'll see the dates and the devices. pretty cool huh??

it is part of the cingular intranet so you have to work in a cingular call center. and the only thing that effects phones released in terms of area is if the technology is available. like a umts phone will not be available in new york city even though you can purchase the phone in boston.

It is a cingular website only for CSR's. They make us use it as a homepage.
