Wish I could find a program for turning mp3 into wma.
Suggestions anybody?
I don't mind doing that for you on my PC, if you send me the file I'll convert it and send it back.

Thank you, ridewyoming, but I've got a gig card to fill. I'll either find a way to convert to wma, or I'll just lump it and go with mp3.
Either way, it sounds great.
Thanks.

I bought my phone on the 7th and sent ringtones though the 'phone#vzwpix.com' on the 9th and it worked fine. If you send 1 clip it only takes a few seconds to receive it, but if you send say 10 equalling 1MB it will take about 15 to 30 min. to receive. I've been using Nero's wave editor to chop up sound bites. The only thing I'm having trouble with is video clips. What format do they need to be in pg3? and if so is there a converter?

To convert mp3's to WMA's and back again I use dbpoweramp. Just right click on a song and choose 'convert to' and it will convert a song in a few seconds. It supports several formats.

well got ringtones working the cheesy way, use bitpim and just navigate to the phone memorys directory and dump it in there. works, but slowly through bluetooth. mp3 works from memory card after enabling mp3 and turning front playshortcut key from music store to mp3. sounds pretty good for phone speakers, very clear, ive yet to get the headphone cable.
the mp3s on the card don't seem to be able to set as ringtones, but ithink theres a file that one can replace to point at the card instead of the phone memory, or atleast thats what i think iread about the vx8100. maybe the same file would work?
now what are the settings for encoding the best quality video it can handle? i'm using super and there are lots of settings!!
and also is there a way to get rid of the status bar at the very top? its in the way of video:(
