depends where you live (area) what your wireless needs are and the whole bit. but i'd recommend cingular but I'm biased.. i think having 47,000 cell sites fewest dropped calls. and excellent coverage in my area. very good i can go almost anywhere.

Yeah, sometimes people don't consider the "fewest dropped calls" portion when getting a plan. They get a plan that's a little cheaper, but realize that they get weak to no signals in some areas. When they switch to Cingular, some people are quite impressed by the reception. But like Jadall said, it depends on where you live...

I live in SF and t-mobile is garbage. Only thing good about t-mobile service is their internet package for the sidekick and etc... Cingular was NEVER that good until AT&T gave them that network. Cingular actually was really bad back then and very cheap phones. After they merged, it gotten better. I don't understand why ATT merged, when they had the best signal service out there.

here's the story line...
SBC (southwestern bell communications) , the parent company of Cingular bought ATT wireless..ATT lost its name... cingular gained the network and the customer base....SBC and ATT corporation (the landline company) merged... Cingular will lose its name in a while to be ATT again
this proves what goes around comes around

To me,"fewest dropped calls" doesn't matter much after all there are so many other factors to think of before choosing a carrier.
T mobile scores better with their $29.99 plan and the lowest that Cingular offers is $39.99.

t-moble is the worst i think. My 1 friend had t-moble and she couldent get service out were we live. I have cingular and i think the service is GREAT!!! I get service at my house even and i live in the boonies. I would recomend cingular over t-moble ne day. Cingular rocks
