Looks like Verizon users will be lucky to get a slightly different version of the Chocolate. I guess I'm not surprised that it would be for Verizon because LG's CDMA handsets seem to be more reliable than the GSM ones.

This is the info that I got from another website.
It's called the LG VX8500. It will have the same form a the original Chocolate, but the hidden D-pad keys on the original have been replaced with an actual D-pad that integrates media playback controls. It has not been announced yet, so no release date is known.

I also forgot to add that the D-pad would be touch-sensitive, like that of an iPod.

The VX8500, aka Chocolate, is available to see on both Mobiledia and Verizon's website. VZW allows you to sign up to receive notice when the phone is released, and I think it will come out (hopefully) end-July to mid-August.

This is going to be one of the sweetest phones. Im friends with someone that works at LG and I got to play with it. It is really a unique phone and Verizon is lucky to have to coming out. It really is remarkable on the design and the functionality of it. The music player works better then all of there phones and it doesnt have that motorola exclusive keypad which i hate thats on the razr and slvr.
