Anyone seen the trailer. Looks like the villains are Sandman, Green Goblin, and maybe Venom. I don't think Venom will be on the this one, but Spiderman does get the alien symbiote and black suit. I just didn't think it would be this quickly.
Anyway, the movie looks cool. Sam Raimi does a great job. I wonder if he's planning on making other comic franchises into movies.

I've waited so long for a trailer... just saw it
Looks awesome!
Venom was always my favorite character in the Spider-Man universe... the black&grey Vernom-Spider-Man looks awesome.
On IMDb sometimes strange things are listed ... a few weeks ago May Parker, Peter Parker's aunt was also listed as Carnage... which freaked me out... but now she isn't listed at all... which is surprising...

Whoa. I think that info about May Parker being Carnage isn't legit. I don't think Sam Raimi would allow that to happen. In X-Men movies, maybe (how could you kill Cyclops & Jean!!). He tries to keep the core elements together with just giving them a little twist so that the movie gets distinguished from he comics. And I don't think the appearance of Venom would happen in this movie. Perhaps not until the end, so that it continues into the next sequel.
But I agree. I like the black/gray outfit more than the pure black/white spider one, surpirisingly. One of my favorite comics is Amazing Spider-Man #347, when Venom is holding a skull and reciting a phrase similar to Hamlet.

What a picture
I never read any comicbooks (except for Spawn when I was 17 and as kid the usual Disney stuff ), I only watched the Spider Man cartoons (and normally was late for school because of it )
I'm cheap... I don't read stuff, I always wait for the movies
Because of that I normally like movies when people dislike it because "it was nothing like the book"...
And I guess I normally watch such movies from a neutral point of view
I liked Spawn
I liked Lord of the Rings
I liked The Da Vinci Code
I liked The Punisher
I liked Dare Devil
I even liked Hulk
Back to Spider Man
What do you think will be Bruce Campbell role in the third movie?
I just read on comicbookmovie.com that he might play Mysterio as 4th villain... but that it will only be a small appearence..

That would be... great.
Preview looked flippin sweet. Even Topher Grace looked good, as a really crazy looking Eddie Brock.

Yeah, I had my reservations about Topher playing Eddie because I just saw him as Eric from That 70's Show (but then most people where wondering why Toby was playing Parker). But it looks like he would play the role well...just not going to have that "it wasn't like that in the comics" mentality. Just like in Superman Returns, I got pissed off because you can hear some people say "it wasn't supposed to be that way". But man, that was a cool movie...left off from part 2.
Bruce Campbell?...sure, why not. But next thing you know, Lucy Lawless and Kevin Sorbo appear as Peter Parker's parents and start doing those corny fight scenes.

Bruce Campbell had only a few guest appearences in these (in my opinion) bad tv shows...
His best role was as Ash in the Evil Dead movies
Or as Brisco County Jr.
And his appearences in Spider-Man 1+2 were pretty cool... and he gave Spider-Man his name

Hamlet?
looks kinda daft to me.
I'm sure I heard a rumour about Eddie Brock making an appearance...
maybe I'm wrong.
