Been getting harrasing phone calls from a nutjob for months now. She left me over 100 voice mails one day even after cursing her out. Cingular told me to just change the number as my only option! No way am I letting this bitch make me change my number. I temporarily solved this problem by shutting down my voice mail and refusing to answer "unknown" calls but she won't give it up. Days or weeks go by before the harrasment starts again, she'll keep dailing my number all day long in hopes I pick up. Can't belive in this new age of high tech Cingular can't offer this critical rejection feature! Is there a carrier or phone that can block her?

I was gonna mention that.. but the afore-mentioned "nutjob" is hiding caller ID...the phone wont reject the call with no caller ID

If your phone is a Nokia, and all the numbers in your phone book are attached to a profile, you could try and set your phone to only ring for certain profiles.
(I have done that before by accident and drove me nuts for weeks trying to figure out why my phone would ring sometimes and not others)
I am not sure that will work on all models of the Nokia though.
Elmo or steva11, or cptech would know more about that I think.
Granted this will not help the voicemail issue, but at least the phone would not ring on your end.
Even though the phone will flash on the screen that there is a call coming in which you could see if you happen to be looking at the phone when the call comes in.
Good Luck with your troubles.

many phones have selective ringing settings. my phone, the sony ericsson z520a, allows the same thing ... I can set it to ring for only calls from those in my phone book, or from a list of allowed callers.

Two solutions.
Change the number.
Get a restraining order, open up your voicemail and let her leave a message. She'll go to jail if she leaves a message.
