Nope, that is a standard SD memory card. The 8300 takes micro SD cards, which are much smaller, even smaller than the mini sd cards.
Like someone else said, 2GB micro SD cards won't be out for a little while (I heard somewhere August 4th, but I don't know about that). You can check tigerdirect.com or newegg.com for 1gb micro SD cards.

Thank you kelsobox. I'll try to cancel the order. It's on its way, but they may be able to redirect the shipment. They're pretty good about cancellations.

You should at least be able to return it. If not, you'll get at least half its value on eBay.

I found this page where they sell a 2GB MicroSD Card.
Made a call into the LG corporation. They say that at this time it will not handle a 2gb disk, only up to a 1gb, but possibly in the future with firmware updates. (and I was so looking forward to getting one, oh well )

I heard that with version four of the firmware, you can use 4gb cards. I had a version one phone that would take a 2gb card, but it would flake out at times, saying the card was full, when it was practically empty, and it would misreport the total space available and used. Since I upgraded to version four, the 2gb card works perfectly.
