2 months ago, I had my wife contact Verizonwireless to get a copy of one of many bills that we did not receive in the mail. Although at the time she was authorized to do or change anything on the account, a rep. called me, while at work and very busy loading a vehicle on my tow truck, and proceeded to tell me about what was going on and then told me a few things about my wifes and son's cell accounts (family plan), things that I had already knew, but they had me so confused about the whole situation, well, they ended up talking me into getting a nother 4 dig. password alomg with my other one, took my wife off of the account and got me for 8.95 extra every month. Not only did they bother me with a petty problem that was a mixup on their end, I now have a password that I can't remember to save my life, they won't help me now until I can give them this stupid password, they ended up charging my bank account a charge that they wont tell me about until I get that password, so now I'm stuck until I can find the time to go out of my way and run to run of their stores to get this straight. above all, when my wife called them to try and get this straight they made it sound like I called them and just "locked" her out of the account and didnt tell her they called me..i had my own "fireworks" going on way before the 4th of July...I will not renew my contract...[/code]

that is silly to say you would never have such a problem just becuae your with a different company. This sounds like it could be fixed very simply. It could happen to you with any company. I would suggest that you stop by a local store and speak with a manager and tell them what happened. Be sure to bring identification of who you are and they will surly fix it on the spot.

You can have the password removed over the phone simply by providing last 4 of your ssn, billing address, cbr# date/amount of last pymt on your acct that way you dont have to go to the store...

I have been in a similar situation....my soon-to-be-ex-husband is in fact a sneak, and he was making a lot of calls he shouldn't have, so when I tried to look at the bill, he put a billing code on the account. He locked me out of my account and now that we are getting divorced after only about 1 year, I can't get my phone number back from him because he is the account holder and I merged with him on a family plan.
It has been so aggravating. They have called back and forth between the two of us, and I got to hear when they call me back that he won't let me have access to our account. Then he would tell me some lie and I would call back and they would correct the lie. We went around and around. I had never been humiliated in front of a customer service rep before--by my own husband. It was like someone saying, "I'm sorry, but your husband is cheating on you, so no, he won't let you see your own bill. "
I am changing companies after my divorce.or I may change in the next week. I am researching it and may have to get a new number, which I hate to do with all of the other changes going on.

Yeah sadly this is not uncommon when people separate. There are no "joint accounts". it's always under ONE social security number. If you both opened it and used his SSN then it's HIS account.
