Hi Everyone

I have tried searching for my problem, but didn't have any luck, so sorry if this has been asked before icon_confused.gif

I have just bought a brand new V3i which I am thrilled with, but I do have a couple of oddities ref: the language.

The phone is set to English in the Initial setup, but when I go to "Phone Status" the "Voice Dial Languages" says Francais 206 with no obvious way of changing it.

Also in the "Message Centre" the quick notes for SMS are all in French too. In the MMS Templates they are all in English icon_redface.gif

Any idea why this is happening?

I bought the phone from a proper mobile supplier so I know its not an import and its brand new.

Look forward to hearing from you icon_biggrin.gif

PS the phone was supplied fully unlocked, unbranded and simm free. I am using my O2 Pay & Go simm card which I have had for years and transfer each time to my new phone.

Thanks for the speedy reply, but I have tried that and it doesn't make any difference icon_cry.gif

Sorry your right - didn't read your message correctly.

The quick notes - you can just delete them all and create new ones

Not sure about the voicedial languages - its not a feature of the V3 which is my speciality.

A new flex would definitely fix it - but that is very extreme and I would not recommend it in these circumstances

ok, thanks again.

I guess I will take a trip to the shop where I bought it and see what they suggest icon_smile.gif

Hi,

i have just bought a PEBL U6, and have the exact same problem. I can change the phone's language, but not the voice Dial library. It keeps saying 'Francais,205'. Is there a way to add or replace it with an english library?

Kind regards,
Lansen

I just got a new RAZR off eBay from ZoomCell, they have always treated me right, however this phone is in another language, how do I change it to english? I can't even read where I am in the menus, because I can't read the menus!
Any advice is welcome, (please don't say return it, I know that option is available, but would like to keep it) there must be a way to change the default language....
All help is Greatly Appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Bitsbucket

The moderater is correct, the only way I know to change the Quick Notes is to edit them in your own language. It worked for me. Only took two beers worth of time.
