i just bought a v3 Razr from FIDO (quebec, canada) and tried to do some modding on it.
the only thing i wanted to do was change the external display picture... so i replaced the cl.gif with a new one (yes... correct size)
after P2K rebooted my phone... it just wouldn't start! it goes past the Motorola Welcoming Screen (those circles) and then enters a blank display state with keypad light ... after that the keypad light turns off as well as the display... then they just turn back on... and on and on ... never ends
now i tried to enter bootmode.... it works fine but i have no idea what happened to the phone... WHAT CAN I DO? why would a .gif file mess up my whole phone?
i would greatelly appreciate any kind of help possible!
thank you very much for reading!
PS: do you think my service provider (Fido) would take it back and change or repair it... i just have it for 1 week now ????

They may take it back if you don't tell them you changed the gif file. If you just tell them it stopped working then they may do.

i have R374_G_0E.41.C3R_B and i don't know about the exact compatibility of a monster pack with that .... do you think i could use any monster pack or a specific one?
could someone please provide some links on this problem?

As you said you've had it for a week right? Therefore it's still under warranty. Flashing with a monster pack will void your warranty. I believe you will be able to get away with taking it back as it is.

Modding has already voided warranty. Just flash with the latest stock monsterpack
