Hey ive been trying to get this 4 digit code off for the longest. ive tried everything including that menu+ 048263 + * thing, but for some reason nothing happens at all...could i get some help? i forgot the code awhile back, and im guna seell this phone but i need the 4 digit code, thanks! its a motorola v551, thanks again! im trying to master clear, or get rid of the stuff on the phone so it can be like new...thanks. btw everyone here seems very helpful im excited to hear from u guys.

And also why cant i just use that menu 048623* whats wrong with that, and what exactly is motokit? how does it work and what do i need?

Motokit is a piece of software that among many other things will allow you to read the phone pin numbers.
You will need a cable and to install the p2k drivers as per the how to connect p2k programs guide in the tutorials section

Have you tried motokit?
Default is probably 1234 0000 or 1111
