Okay, this has been really bugging me. When I download the newp2k.rar file where should I chose to save it? I saved it to disk but then when I tried to find it when the "Found New Hardware" prompt popped up but I couldn't find it! I also tried the Default WinRAR file but when I clicked the plus sign on the WinRAR file it only showed "format". Could someone please help me asap?

hey all... ok i just spent like 2hours reading up on every single post here and i still cant get mpt or that pk2 proggy to work...i downloaded all 3 of those links on the 1st page went to plug my V3 in and the harware wizard pops up and i followed directions all the way to the 'drv' folder...except when i clicked on next i keep getting an error saying that the proper INF cannot be found.
there should be 8 files in that DRV folder correct? anyways im on windows XP sp2 and im stuck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, I got all the drivers installed correctly, so I have no problems there, but whenever I try to read the phone in p2ktool it always hangs, and eventually I have to close the program. At the bottom it says 'Connected' and has the little green light, but whenever I try to do something, like refreshing the kjava list or installing anything, it always freezes. I have a V3c with Bell Mobility, if that makes any difference. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the CDMA models are a different kettle of fish - try it with RSD Lite or motorola software update running

Help! Could you please re-post these files on Rapidshare? I have a V3 and cannot seem to get it to connect to my WIN XP OS. Thanks!

Try using the Motorola USB Driver install program from http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/

Hi!

I just downloaded this MPT for my red r3m, and transfering files work wonderfully with the occasional unconnected messages that require turning the phone off and on again. However, i am having trouble with setting my ringtones.

I can use the MPT or SoundForge to cut my .mp3 or .wav down to about 20kb files, and am able to transfer them to my phone. i'm also able to assign the ringtone to a call/message call and even listen (preview) to the ringtone. but then when i test it by calling my phone using a different phone, i don't hear the ring. the phone shows that i'm receiving a call/message, but no sound. does anyone know what's wrong with my phone?

thanks in advance for all y'all's help! Have a wonderful day!
