I realize that i may not have been clear about the question i posted earlier so i'm re-posting a more accurate one:

I have followed all the steps that mikekay10 gave in the tutorial for getting p2k programs connected, I have even deleted all the programs, re-downloaded and re-installed them. wen i connect my v3 phone via usb cable. It recognizes it and installs the usb modem). BUT.it doest seem to go beyond that. it doesn't ask me if i want to install MCU data logger etc. i remember it askin me for them once but that was b4 i was interested in modding.n wen i clicked 'install' i was told 'drivers not found'. now that i want to mod its not askin me to install them anymore.it jus recognizes the fone installs the usb modem and that's it! i've tried various different sources and followed numeruos instructions.i've even done a system restore for heavens sakes!.but nothing seems to work.really need sum help please

Hi Mike
I have followed you instructions on the forum, but when I downloaded P2kman, no wizard appeared, it wenbt straight to the programme. This said that the phone was not connected but it was, and the drivers succesfully installe. I do not have phone tools. Could you please advise me on what is going wrong?
The phone is a Motorola v235.

Many Thanks
Eddie

Followed all the steps and even installed rsd lite but it never prompts me to install the drivers. It just says hardware found then automatically finds Motorola V3re modem. I deleted the modem driver from hardware and plugged it in and it auto finds the damn moto v3re modem again. Never prompts me to install the driver just auto finds it every time.
MPT is not running when I try it.
This is with either p2kman or Commander open when I connect the phone.
Help! (Oh Im on Windows XP Tablet pc edition) icon_question.gif
How do I get it to let me install the drivers if it wont prompt me and just auto finds it?

Ok, so, on a completely different note.

I have a Motorola L6 which originally operated on the Telstra network here in Australia. It was unlocked and I was using another SIM card. that is, until earlier today, when I updated the software on the damn thing and was promptly told by it that I needed a 'subsidy code'. So, I go looking, and find out that I can retrieve the subsidy code by using a certain command on P2KSeem. Downloaded the file, ran it. it was all going OK until I loaded the record from the seem, when the program froze.

I am running Windows Vista Basic with SP1. Could anyone shed some light on the situation for me?

Thanks.

I'm really hoping someone can help me. I've finally got MPT to run successfully. I have an older version. 4.5.6a. I was having issues with MPT v5 on XP sp2. MPT seems to be working now, finds my phone just fine. Oh, I have a V600. M2KMan doesn't connect or recognize my phone at all. It doesn't try to install additional drivers. It doesn't do anything. Just sits there. Any thoughts? I've downloaded P2KMan multiple times in case it was a bad copy. does the p2K.sys driver need to be placed in my windows driver folder? Pleases Help!
