I am currently thinking about purchasing the new VX8300, ive had an LG for awhile , it is a very old phone and has definately stood up to some harsh abuse.. my main question was in the some of the reviews i read it said something like a digital echo of my voice when im talkign to someone? what is this? it sounds like it would get annoying.. can anyone help me , or explain to me waht this echo is? thanks

The sound duplication in the ear isn't annoying at all. It's essentially making your cell phone sound more like your home phone always has.

brettw22 is correct. For a long time you've not been able to hear yourself speaking on a cell phone, unlike your landline phone. That is now changing and the VX8300 is one of the early phones to have sound like landlines.
I like it a lot.

sorry about all the questions, but i also had a question regarding the reception bars on this phone, i recently saw it in at store and the bars look complteely different from the other phones.. they seemed ot be all the same size and it only looked like there was 4 bars total? what is the difference and how is it equivalent to other phones?

I just purchased the 8300 one day ago and the bars are quite different. Theyre all the same size. In my opinion its not too bad, just something to get used to. As far as the echo goes I havent really used the phone enough to experience it. I love my 8300 though!
