hey there i recently purchased a Nokia N91 for about 100$ cheaper than most other places are selling. I paid 550$ while other places were charging 650$ but the only thing is my N91 doesn't have WiFi. Is this because of the firmware? if it can i simply flash the firmware to enable WiFi? If it is at all possible please let me know! and please show me how to flash firmware.

i bought it at a local celluar store here in california. I paid 100$ non refundable deposit and the clerk didnt tell me it didn't have wifi till it was too late. Now i have to buy it or lose 100$ yeah it doesn't have WiFi. Is there any possible way i can enable WiFi? maybe its a international model. If its an international model is there any way i can enable WiFi?

Well, the N91 is an international phone because it's originally meant for use overseas (900Mhz), if that's what you're getting at. Sorry, you can't enable Wi-Fi on your phone. Too bad you can't get a refund. Try selling at the same price (maybe more?), and get the b or g versions.

so the wifi option isn't locked via firmware? so theres no actual WiFi chip?

Do what Bjoern said, try reading the manual. If there is nothing stated, then the answer is no. Give an update if there is anything else.

nothing in the connectivity section about WiFi. it seems this is how it is, i've been to about 10 celluar stores and all of them dont' carry the N91 with WiFi. They seem to get it from a chinese importer. ahh but i really want WiFi. =(

"chinese importer"... the magic words...
Just checked nokia.com.cn
The chinese version of the phone neither has 3G nor wifi!
Sell the phone and get a "real" version of it.
