I'm having a problem with my new pink SLVR L6. I've already set it up to use T-Mobile and such, but every time I write a new text or MMS message, or any other type of text entry, the first default is to ALL CAPS, instead of First caps or all lowercase. None of my other moto phones have ever done that (including its sister, the Razr V3).

I have a mac, so I don't think I'll be able to flash or flex this phone (yet) so that's not an option. Does anyone know why this is happening? I can't understand why any manufacturer would assume all caps to be the preferred typing style. ugly!

Please help! icon_huh.gif

Thanks Mike,

I thought that might be the problem too, except when I tried to flash a language pack (I tried several, just ones from MOTOX for the SLVR) for US English, using RSDLite 2.7...The software would create a phone image, then immediately fail when trying to initiate the flash, due to a Subscriber Info Chipset not being verified or something like that. What should I do?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

PS - I had a RAZR before this and was always able to flash/flex just fine, so I'm not sure what's different about this.

Those files are for the L7 - you have an L6

Try asking in the other phones section of http://www.slvrhackers.net/home/index.php for L6 language packs

Is it strange that the files I have are installed on my L6 and are for the L7? Yet the phone works just fine, it's just buggy with Russian language (I need US English). I did flash it once successfully with the Quad-band hack and though I have no actual knowledge as to whether it worked or not, it does say Quad-band GSM phone. icon_smile.gif

I've posted a question over there so hopefully I'll get more input. Thanks!!

I meant the language pack files at motox that are giving errors are for the L7. But never mind - the owner of that site is a personal friend of mine and he promised to try and help you out.
