well, lets see here. based on data from JDP, and consumer reports, Verizon had the fewest complaints of dropped than ANY other wireless provider, and verizon keeps a record of any dropped, or missed call. and they have the lowest churn rate of any WP. But then again, in my area Cingular has the worst reception, and i cant speak for everyone, so Cingular may very well be a great provider in your area, but in mine, they are bad.

that is great that they have good awards but you need to relized that consumers make the call. Not Consumer reports or JDP. I could care less that verizon or any other carrier including cingular have all of the awards. it matter about personal experience i had sprint and nextel i like them but i did get my fair of reception problems but if someone would of ask me how did i like sprint? i tell i had some problems and give them some pros and cons about the company. But i would never start bashing at a company just what they did to me. This even includes cingular. trust me i know Verizon's awards. I think they are a great company and i also think that cingular or carriers are great companys too.

yes, I know that all carriers are great, exept regional ones like Cricket or Cincinnati Bell (whole other story on local carriers in my area) but the fact is, that based on my own experiences with the folks, and what i have heard from others, Cingular doesnt treat its customers the best, and they make false claims based on the fewest dropped calls. i shouldnt say false, but they do have the fewest dropped calls, but only when you can get a signal, but if you dont have a signal, then you cant make the call. And yes, I will admit that they have better phones than VZW, i counted, and Cingular currently offer s 83 phones, compared to Verizons 34 on their website(s)

thank you tampadelphian, yes Fasha is an cocky, arrogant, and simply childish person who decided to bash a great company like VZW. hes saying that any1 who uses a CDMA based network is terrible. READ HIS QUOTES. and him saying that its much easier to flip out the SIM card. b/c you know, it takes so much time to call VZW and say politely "please transfer my number" I was being sarcastic BTW. i've done this a number of times, when i've either wanted a new phone, or lost mine, and it took a max of 5min each time, and every VZW CSR was very polite and helpful.

No one is going to be happy about their carriers including verizon if you look at the other topics in this fourm you will see. Cingular may have that commerical about fewest drop calls but everyone knows that a way to get new customers. Verizon and everyone else does the same thing in different ways

i could care less on how many awards that verizon gets they still suck ass. where i live verizon barely gets service at all and cingular dominates. what good phones does verizon have? answer that. i can the only phone i do like is the motorola Q somewhat. i mean look at these awfull choices: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&ac tion=viewPhoneOverviewByDevice&deviceType=Phones&sortOption=priceSort
how terrible is that, why do that when u could get the samsung blackjack (my phone) or the 8525 or 8125 or nokia e62 or blackberry pearl? really why?
