There is a problem with the caller id feature of the pebl. If the country code is entered when storing a number in the phonebook eg +1 or +64 then the number is not recognised when a call is recieved from that number. But if you only enter the mobile number without '+' and the country code (ie just the mobile number) then caller id does not recognise text messages (sms) from that number. Some other people on different networks are having that problem. Basically the phone reads the number from the front instead of from the back like most phones.

Can anyone help? There's no official update to fix this problem.

Try SEEM 0032_0001 offset 3E - bit 4: for purposes of linking name in phonebook with caller ID number, xxx-xxxx = xxx-xxx-xxxx = 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx = +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx (0 on, 1 off)

Hey I've had a real good look but can't find the tutorial/guide on how do the SEEM stuff for pebl. Is it the same as Vxxx? Can you point me to the right direction?

Thanks for much! It worked perfectly. The guide was so easy to follow. (Funny, the motorola people suggested I enter every number twice!) Much appreciated.
