The LG VX8300 review indicates that it is compatible with A2DP: "Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is a new profile that lets music listeners enjoy music wirelessly through A2DP-compatible Bluetooth headphones. Able to walk around and enjoy stereo sound without the constraints of wires, the VX8300 is one of the newest devices to offer this exciting technology."
Has anyone tried listening to music with a stereo bluetooth headset?

i don't have a headset yet but i've used a friends to listen with my 8300 and it's great. the quality is only as good as the headset you buy is, but the convenience is wonderful. all music players (cd/mp3/ipods/etc.) should have a cord-free option.

I've recently learned that you need to upgrade your firmware to V3 in order for stereo bluetooth to work. You can do this by taking your phone to a Verizon store and they will upgrade your software for free. However, I have been told that once the software is upgraded you will lose all ability to play MP3's, so beware. There may be a way to get around this, but I'm not sure. Also, with the firmware upgrade come the ability to use the 2GB memory card.

MP3s work fine on the new firmware. They no longer go in a separate folder ('my_mp3s' I think is what it was before). Now they need to go into the 'my_music' folder, along with WMAs. They work fine without the need (or possibility) of enabling them separately.

I have a Verizon LG VX8300 and a Jabra BT620S headset. I can use the headset to control the phone for calling features but cannot hear music from the phone through it. Jabra tech support said the headset supports a2dp, LG says the a2dp profile is in the phone, Verizon says I have to have it programmed somewhere other than Verizon Wireless. They said they don't do it and it would void the warranty.
How can I get this headset to work with this phone?
