Well i currently have cingular and since i cannot find the z710 or w710 anywhere because its not released yet i was concidering waiting for that, but also getting a sideick 3 for messaging.
Now i called tmobile and they told me it would be $1 a day for internet with anyphone. however i did not ask them if it would work with the sidekick 3.
Ok, so then i went to the store and some guy told me that sidekick 3 dont have a "prepaid system" and i thought that was wierd because if u just unlock the phone and u use a tmobile sim card and activate it for prepaid? because its not like Tmobile when helping u setup a prepaid account exactly Knows what type of phone ur using.....so can anyone tell me if i hook up a sidekick 3 with prepaid, is that possible? and say i buy a 10$ prepaid card, i will be able to use it for 10 days? And just refil it with the codes next time i buy another prepaid card. Also do i even have to unlock the phone in order to get prepaid?
**and i wont be using any minutes on the prepaid beacuse i have my cingular service**
And my final question is if i talk to someone who has tmobile using the prepaid sidekick 3, is it going to still charge me for using the minutes and deduct minutes? or will it be like a mobile to mobile thing?...

Yes you can get it prepaid and it will only cost a dollar a day. It should be showing up on the prepaid section of tmobile.com soon. If it doesn't go to a tmobile store and buy one without a contract and then buy a prepaid kit. There is no free mobile to mobile on prepaid. Let me know if I missed anything.

oh ok, do u know how much prepaid kits are? and i will let u know i will go to the store soon.
and another question:
if i buy a 10 dollar card thats 10 days of internet..but what if i dont use it for one day..does it still not count or do i get another day....or somethign like that?..or if i dont use the card til it expires what happens like if i leave the minutes, and i dont use the internet for 1 day, do i get 1 day back or still counts as a charge?

I think the prepaid kit is around $50 now. I'm not sure on the dollar if you don't use the internet, but I'm thinking that it will cost you because the sidekick sends data in the backround if you use it or not.

hmm ok thanks, now u said the prepaid kit is 50$, but i saw them on ebay for like 10$, so i was wondering...Since the sidekick 3 retail is 350, and with prepaid is 400, what if i just bought it for 350 and bought a prepaid kit offa ebay and then put it in, would that work? and if so, how would it work? do i have to put the sim card in and call like customer service from the phone and tell them to activate the sim card? or something like that? and then i can just buy prepaid cards and put the code in the phone. And the dollar a day yea i think it just charges it if u dont use it. But does it give u an option when u want to use it? or no.

I'm gonna you are charged a dollar a day if you use it or not and it will not ask you anything. If you buy a prepaid sidekick from tmobile for 400 you should get a sim card with it.

hmm thanks for all the info, do u think it would be better if i got someone with a tmobile account to upgrade to a sidekick 3 which i herd was like 250 or 300 then i could just take the set and buy a sim card and work it for prepaid?

That's up to you. Its 299 with a 2yr contract, 349 with a 1yr and 399 no contract.
