I recently purchased a v500i OEM black housing and installed it, and I noticed I'm getting less volume from the earpiece. It could be just partially blocked, but I know for other vXXX series phones there are opcodes to adjust volume level, if this affects the earpiece volume that would help out a lot.
but you see, I cannot find out for myself, because every time I go to the opcode menu, I put in 5*0*15 (which is the highest level present on the opcode list for vXXX phones here) it comes back saying "Error 3".
I did try suspending the phone first, but where the instructions say to "Press the camera button on the outside of your phone to turn the backlight back on. You should see "SUCCESS" on the screen.", I for the life of me don't know where this camera button is on the outside of the phone is. The only button that goes straight to the camera is on the keypad, and pressing it DOES NOT bring back the light on the screen or the opcode menu. If I flip the phone closed the external LCD says "Success" for a fraction of a second then I reopen the phone to enter an opcode and the phone basically restarts itself instead.

I don't want to tear the phone apart AGAIN if I can avoid it, so umm, can you guys tell me what the heck is wrong with this stupid V400? blahhhhhhh
thanks,
Andy

Can I use the mototkit1.06 tool kit on a V400 to increase the volume? How do I get the toolkit? Did a search for it, and could not find it...
