I posted this but have been unable to locate it. I curretnly have a Nokia 3560 but can't get the IMEI number. It's not located on the back and when I enter the *#60# it just sits there (like it wants to call vs. display the code).
I've tried just entering the above and sitting there, hitting the call (although I was told this is not how its done), tried contacting cingular (who told me the same thing but still did nothing). The steps from what I get is enter "*#06#" and then the phone should display the number... so if it doesn't, what should I do next?
Thank you in advance for any help...

*#06#
Are you sure you're typing it in right? I just noticed in your 1st paragraph that you typed it in wrong...

Ya sorry, I'm hittin the "*#06#". It works fine on my current phone, but not at all on the Nokia. Now this is an old phone... 3560, so maybe there's something different that I need too do, but for the life of me I dont know what that is.

Nokia does use this shortcut for a really long time, even much older phones support it.
A wild guess... but tried restarting the phone and than try again? Maybe the phone has a temporary glitch.

Hey Chad, were you able to find the serial number? If not, try typing these on the keypad
*#92702689#
(hopefully on your phone) it will display the: serial no, date made, purchase date, & life timer.
Hope that helps you, man.
