I just downloaded Nokia PC Suite and I can't get connected. I am trying to connect via USB cable CA-42 and I am stuck. It freezes at 'step3' connect cable. The ‘next’ option is not available …
I have a Nokia 3220 and I am trying to connect thru a USB cable (CA-42). Do I need to change some settings on the phone? My computer runs perfect I never had an installation problem before. I only have installed in my computer Windows Live One Care as a security suite. My carrier is T-Mobile.
Please Help.
Thanks.

Is it an original Nokia CA-42 or a cheap replica from ebay?
Have you first installed PC Suite and than connect the cable? (as it should be done)

* Ebay Replica, but it seems that the cable is OK when I connected it shows on the display " Data enhancement connected". Yes, I first installed PC suite and the connect the cable. Could it be a security issue on my computer?
Thanks for ur help.

Well, since it is a replica you need some third party drivers, install them, then install the CA-42 drivers manually and than install PC Suite.
This is the common installation-routine for replica cables to make them work.

No idea where to get them, but there are several postings about it.
Yes, PC Suite comes with the CA-42 drivers, but as I said: it is recommend to install the drivers manually when you try to use a replica.

If you bought cable from ebay do this
I've found the driver that able to connect your CA-42 to the computer. It doesn't require any hack... =D It is
PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe and i have it for you guys to download. After installed you need to restart your computer. You also need pc suit installed in your computer. After the restart use pc suit and connect your phone by cable. When your it recognizes. Go to My Computer and find your phone ^_^ Need help ? Email me krzvi3tboi@yahoo.com
