I signed up online for the $29.99 monthly plan, but not having received my phone and service yet,I am surpised to see my monthly dues to be $37.23 per month and not really $29.99 as it says.I found out from the taxes breakdown that there is a wierd $6.50 per month "city tax".
Wireless phone compnies have all sorts of ways to squeeze as much out of you as it is possible. It is foolish to go by the ads.

if that's the final amount, i'd say that's about standard for a final bill.

well the 29.99 is before taxes and a $6.50 fee is not from Sprint, its the city you live in charging Sprint, so in return they charge you. There a lottla stupid taxes on cell phones, everyone has their hand in the pot. State, city, federal ... look at mine "Suffolk Special fees"

This is wierd.
I pay this $6.50 monthly city tax on every bill I'll receive from Sprint whereas the signal reception where I live is hopeless.I hardly get 2 bars at home and the voice quality is patchy too.
What I mean to say is what use is the tax when the signal reception is hopeless.
The Sprint map shows the entire area dotted with Sprint cell towers,if there are so many towers every half a mile or so,how come I don't go past 2 bars on my cell phone?
Unfortunately,its a fruitless argument.
