so has anyone figured this out yet??? cause my battery life is getting raped by this light.

Did you try all the suggestions mentioned before?

i.e. Turn off bluetooth, Reboot, master reset, check you have a good funlight.pat file (if you haven't done any mods you should be ok).

I too had the same problem but managed to turn off the Bluetooth as follows:

Settings->Connectivity->Bluetooth->Hands-free->Motorola H500->Drop

Now turn off the head-piece.
