The Bluetooth light on my phone refuses to go off. Bluetooth is OFF in the settings for Syncing, etc. The lady at a Cingular store said that it was on because I had synced my phone with a computer. How do I turn it off?
Also, my mother (on Virgin Mobile) cannot send me text messages. I can send messages to her just fine, but I never receive any text messages she sends me. Other people receive her text messages just fine.

Try restarting the phone or a master reset
Check your SMS service centre number is correct. Also double check she has your full number

I've restarted the phone countless time, it still comes right back on at startup.
Does a master reset lose any data?

No - only a master clear would delete anything

I did, but I overwrote the seems (0032 and 004a) with ones that came with a V3 rebranding pack with custom startup and shutdown sounds and animations.

I'm having the same problem with my V3 - the bluetooth light won't go off (came on while I was recharging the battery via a usb link to my pc). I haven't modified the phone and have tried your suggestions without success.... thx in advance for any other suggestions!!
