Hi folks,
I recently got a V505 from a friend who just got a Blackberry. It's a great phone, but I'd like to try flashing/flexing it to fix a problem it's having. Can someone tell me the name of the 1ff file I should be looking for?
I've downloaded RSDLite 2.6 and done a bit of research, so I think I'm ready to start the process. However I'm a little lost regarding the files. There are so many files out there and so many Motorola models I want to make sure I get the right one.
FYI, the problem I'm trying to solve involves the camera. If I turn it off and remove the battery for a minute or so, the camera will work. But the next time I try to use the camera it says something like 'Busy, Try again.' Also, the battery life is TERRIBLE. I'm guessing the camera isn't shutting down properly. A simple power recycle doesn't do the trick. I've seen a number of people with the same issue. I'm crossing my fingers this will help.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, OF. I've tried the master reset and the master clear, but neither fixes the problem permanently. I've since flash/flexed the phone with the latest 600 triplet, and that didn't fix it either. I'm starting to think it's a hardware problem and not an OS glitch.

Yeah, not exactly an optimal solution.

Look in there if you don't see it just email and ask the owner.
Shown here the camera for v3 is $20 so for V505 i think is cheaper if money is you consern. If it is how to change the camera don't worry about it as it is not that hard

Wow, I have to admit I misread your original post. I thought you were suggesting I buy a new PHONE and swap them out and return the broken one. I had no idea you could buy aftermarket cameras.
I didn't see the 505 phone, but I'll get in touch with the owner and see if they have any. Swapping out the phone's innards sounds both scary and fun.
Sorry for the snarky response before, and thanks!
