Hi. I'm looking for some help with my unlocked att phone. About 4 months ago, I switched over from att to cingular (after the merger). I got a new cingular phone and sim card. However, it fell in the water and I don't want to buy a new phone. I had a friend unlock my old att phone (Samsung x426). It works just fine, but it shows that I'm roaming. Is it because the phone is att but now it's using the cingular network? The screen says cingular on it. Also, would I be charged roaming fees since att and cingular are the same company now? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

dont worry about the roaming symbol...the phone thinks its out of area...
that has nothing to do with the way roaming is billed... your rate plan determines that...
as long as you are in your home calling area no roaming charges...
if you want tell me your cityy and the rate plan title on your bill and I'll let you know your calling area
