I have been researching this phone for many months now on the Cingular website and am now eligible for an upgrade. But when I went to the Cingular online store, the phone is no longer available. Does anyone know about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's on backstock. If you ask when it will be available again, they won't know either. The only time they know is when the shipment comes in. The substitute is the Samsung SGH-D807. If the W600 is really what you want and nothing else, you can call and say that you would prefer the W600 and not the D807 and they'll notate it. Other arrangements can be made if you wanted another phone by speaking with a supervisor. When are you eligible for upgrading?

the email they sent out at work (cingular) said they were completely discontinuing the phone completely, it's not just on backstock.

Was talking with a guy in Sales and yup , you are correct mandie, they are not being sold anymore.

just called end of life either cingular chooses not to stock phone anymore or manufacturing of the model has ended.=not enough stock to continue. watch for it and call I have seen it pop up on the website but not in the last week or so.

usually if you wait a little, it show up again on the website but only as refurbished models. its not so bad since they still come with the standard one year warranty.

yeah, unfortunately cingular has put this phone at end of life. sorry, you may still be able to find it on ebay though.
