I have an unlocked motorola L6 I bought on ebay. I constantly get an "emergency only" message on the display or a signal so poor the phone is useless. What is wrong? Is there a setting I need to change or any way I can get this thing to work?

Its possible that some of the GSM bands are blocked - flashing with a stock monsterpack should eliminate software.
If you still have an issue it is most likely hardware - probably antenna connection

I'm also having this problem but with the L7. What is this monsterpack you refer to?

It is a new flash and flex for the phone - but combined into a single file

Most likely its the antenna. Ive tried both t-mobile and cingulas sim card with the same message. Any easy way to fix the antenna?

All you can do is strip the phone and see if there is any obvious connection / cable damage

Its kinda weird. Been trying to make it work since monday and today it got signal and im able to send text messages. The only problem i have now is that when i try to make it call it will lose signal. After i hang up it gets signal right away. I been able to make about three calls out of 20.

Hey KZAR,
I have a similiar problem with my v3x. Only I can make a lot more calls without problem. The majority of my house my phone goes to emergency mode. When I make calls teh signal strength bounces around. It is quite frustrating. I would love a fix to it as well. I am not that handy to go and make sure the antenna is working. I even went to the point of putting those cell boosters to see if it made any difference. That did not work either.

As I already said flashing with a monsterpack would eliminate software
