Plus kwinkle, if you are on an individual plan with say 3000/mins yes you will pay over $100/month and alot of people do that. Plus I have seen many accounts that have 5 lines on a family share plan and pay about $90.00/month.. Not bad price for 5 lines, I wouldn't think anyway.

first of all I am not a man - second you missed the point - an earlier poster said you are only paying 9.99 for the second line - my point was it is billed that way but really that is not the case - if you have 5 lines that can get along on a 90.00 plan then those same small users could get along on the 19.99 single plan. Every user is different but the point was when you compare the single plans and the share plans the price is about the same for the same usage.

You are right about the price being the same on indivual vs. famshare.. But, wireless companies do actually PAY for the phones you get.. Motorola, Samsung, LG do happen be be a "for profit" company...They have employee's that make cell phone's that have to be paid, just as wherever you may work... A wireless provider is a "network of cell sites" Your cable company does just give you a TV to use with their service... It is no different, landline provider don't give you a phone, you have a right to buy a ph for $20 or $500 your choice...

Point taken - however in "the old days" the landline provider did give you a phone with service. And yes, Samsung, motorola, etc are for profit and so are the cell companies but my point was things (all consumer goods) are marked up so high now that when they give you a good deal they are not taking a loss. They may not be makingas much profit as they could but not a loss. That would not make any sense - they would not be able to stay in business. I know they have overhead, etc...but for a user like me when I multiply an average bill of 200.00 a month for 7 years I get 16,800 dollars - wow! For phone service! Multiply that by the amount of customers and that is one pretty penny. I think they could give me a free phone or 100 credit ...for each of my lines...especially since they insist that each of those phones are committed to a 2 year contract - not just the primary line.

the cell co's should offer return custumors a better deal if they have good payment history. by how soon the pay their bill after thr bill mail out date. for those of ust that pay as soon as it is online to see should get the best deals or dicounts on new items and plans plus it would get more people to pay on time.
on the new phones i think that is why they offer the buy one get one to 3 free of antoner same or another modle. works for me basicly go 2 phones free with ne2 plus the rebait so they paid me to buy the phone lol
