New to verizon 2 years ago ; excited about the new every 2 offering;
I bought two phones and the sales rep told that every 2 years I will get $100 credit FOR EACH OF THE PHONES toward new ones.
I'll be done with the contract in 3 weeks and when trying to get new phones, I discovered that the sales rep. actually lied. New every two applies to the primary line only.
Although I explained to several persons at Verizon, I obtained NO HELP whatsoever . Beware of poor and I mean very poor customer service with verizon. They don't care that they will loose a customer @ $150 month, have not heared anything about customer satisfaction.
I welcome comments with simmilar experience

it sounds like you started your service from an independant dealer... most are honest business people... if this is the case (and said person is still employed as such) and you have something in writing,... go to the same store your originally started up in...
basically the wireless carrier cannot be held responsible for the actions of independant agents... that clause appears in every service agreement I've seen...

With the New Every 2, you are actually eligible to upgrade at 22 months, you dont have to wait the full 24 months.. If the 2 lines you have are on "individual plans" both are eligible for new every 2 but if on a Family share plan only the primary line is because the 2nd line only bills $9.99 per month. If you check your options, most of the time there are "buy 1 get up to 3, etc free so w/ ne2 you can end up with 2 free phones anyway... Hope that helps.

i understand that business logic. but what if the person is on a 79.99 family plan. then only the primary line gets the upgrade, but essentially, both lines are being billed 40.00. so if they were placed on individual plans paying the same amount as a single family plan, it's not exactly fair.

All of the lines can upgrade at 22 mo's it is just the "up to $100 the primary gets...
Ex: Moto razor primary line: $119.99 - 69.99 (ne2) w/ $50 rebate = -0- after rebate
Secondary line $119.99 - $50.00 rebate = $69.99
Unless you caught them during buy 1 get 1 free, then both would be free. (Both lines have to be eligible to upgrade for the buy 1 get free offers..

no - you are not paying only 9.99 for that second phone! get real! They might bill it that way but do you think I would have a 149.00 a month plan for 1 phone? Come on you are paying full price for all the phones on a share plan and they all should get the benifit - in fact they are considered under the contract not just the primary so come on Verizon is having their cake and eating it too
