Hi j3wel, I can't even backup the P408 firmware. I'm using P48ZDWJ2. Any idea what's wrong with that? Thanks.

Why can't you? What goes wrong when you try to back it up?

Am a newbie to this messing with cellphone firmware so could use some help guys.
I have the samsung E-715, REV E7.16, E71BUWL2.
Following advice posted on this site and around the net I've gathered together all that I need to update my cell. The problem I'm having is operating Optiflash to do a backup of the old then an upload the new (E75UVWL2.sre) firmware. My phone model is absent from the generic dropdown box in optiflash's settings. Could this be the problem. Is there another addition to optflash I need to get from elsewhere to support it??
And just out of curiosity, exactly what changes will I see with this new firmware??
Will I be able to restore the old if there are problems?
Cheersl!!

Is it possible to change the languages in the e715 firmware? For example if i want norwegian instead of spanish..
Maybe that can work if you somehow extract the norwegian language pack from the e710 firmware and add it to the e715 firmware???
Can anybody help me out?
